At 50q records, we’re tapping into the raw energy and timeless spirit of 70s and 80s rock, not as a relic, but as a vital foundation for modern music.

Founded in Pittsburgh by Sid Riggs and Lee Caruso Jr., 50q records is built on a deep appreciation for the iconic sounds of the past, reimagined and amplified for today’s sonic landscape.

Sid and Lee have produced, engineered, and recorded major label artists and performed as signed band members. As the founders of 50q records, they partner closely with bands and musicians who carry that timeless sound in their DNA, helping shape music that nods to the past while pushing forward with purpose.

Sid Riggs

Co-Founder

Sid Riggs has spent more than 30 years working in the music industry as a musician, producer, engineer, and mixer. As a drummer, he’s best known for his work with Rob Halford’s Two, Sinisstar, and Kidneythieves. In the studio, Sid has brought his production and engineering expertise to a diverse range of artists, including Seether, Saliva, Alice Cooper, Juliette Lewis, and John 5. His deep understanding of both performance and studio craft makes him a genuinely creative collaborator.

Lee Caruso Jr.

Co-Founder

Lee Caruso Jr. is a seasoned producer, former signed artist, and music entrepreneur with nearly two decades of experience in the music industry. A Berklee College of Music alumnus, Lee has collaborated with acts like Hidden In Plain View and supported renowned bands including Tesla and Sha Na Na. His work spans live performance, studio production, and artist development, reflecting a deep passion for music across multiple genres.
